Jeff26 0
Hi, I have a G80 that has not been fired for nearly 30 years. I have ordered a new breech seal and piston washer as these are probably toast. Any recommendations on how to release spring tension? I have looked on YouTube and there are no G80 video's. Are any other models similar? Also, how should I pretreat the leather washer? Quote Link to post
Chico11 5
Use a spring compressor like the ones for BSA Meteor to release the G80's spring tension, and soak the leather washer in Neatsfoot oil overnight before installing it. Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,557
fond memories of the Diana G80,my ol shooting partner of some 45 plus years ago had one, I had the BSA Mercury. I always remember the build quality of Steve`s G80, IT REALLY WAS EXCELLENT, My mercury beat it hands down in th power stakes only. I would personally get that serviced by a good gunsmiths I am no gunsmith. good luck mate ,you have a fine classic there. atb. Mark. Quote Link to post
