The sport in coursing is running your dog and working a hare, not killing them IMO.....

But no running dog owner can say its not a proud moment to catch a few and see you dog do well.

We have so few locally I still feel sad when one get caught

Yes I like the course more than a catch, maybe its because I am a sportman, when a hare is concerned

You can only kill them once

When I owned hare dogs.......

I liked to know my dog could kill a hare, by killing them......

When I knew I owned a dog that could..... I always admired a good strong hare that gave its all and if it lived to breed another year....... BUT....not too often  !!
