lurcherchavvy 3
i like the bit where the dogs are running down the lamp, and take it straight out the squat, the quicker the kill the more in numbers you will take. that aint a course is it just a waste of a good run.......i like watching dogs running the hare and working it and seeing the different dogs run hare differently and then the catch or kill at the end of the run...always a good feeling when your dog catches them makes you fell proud Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
Who wants a dog that is a pleasure to watch course but fails to pick the hares up? Quote Link to post
snoopdog 1,256
if i wanted just to watch the cousre which i enjoy as much as the next man ....you would run it with a muzzel on ......dam right you want to see a kill at the end off the day .... ..isnt that what its all about ......its hunting not a fecking race ... baz 463
its both, you cant beat a good long exiting course, with a kill at the end of it Quote Link to post
caspa 2
When your are (were) working your dogs on hare pre ban what was it all about to you? were you more intrested in catching big numbers or seeing your dog course the hare? For me it is puerley sport. The kill itself and numbers were not importiant. Just wondered what peoples views were. i love coursing..but my dog must be up to it.. Quote Link to post

whin 463
localy hares are not to thick on the ground so when they catch one its good, but when i go early morning drive 40 mins and go out my way for pure sport i lke the dog catching a few or doing his best to catch ,im lucky i know the land etc the dog gets his chance if he does it well happy if not well if he gives it his all good and well, i dont mind a hare getting away its part of the game ,some ground suits the hare some suit the dogs ,ive nevr been a purist roe, rabbit, a dig a,a course, its all the same [bANNED TEXT] out doing what u like and its freedom with [bANNED TEXT] jukels all the best Quote Link to post
