thurso jack 3
had a run out tonight with a couple of local lads and there 2 dogs, they were giving me a ribbing in the pub that my 27 inch lurcher was too big for rabbits and that there 22-23 inch dogs would piss all over her i must admit to feeling pretty nervous as i drove out to meet them in there chosen field. the conditions were not to good tbh no wind but we were there and we took a look out anyway, not a lot about, we lined out and walked the park, i neednt have worried there dogs managed 3 between them and Fiac had 8, she didnt let me down and ran well, not missing many, i guess they will be buying the pints next time i see them down the pub Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
A long neck and a good strike will more than compensate for the size. My old Deer/Grey was mustard on the lamp at 28 1/2 inches! Crap on the long ears though! LOL Quote Link to post
