teknystoddy 0
I fancy buying a new rod for prawning/shrimping for Salmon this season as my spinning rod isnt sensitive enough, also fancy using it for spinning for Pollack in the summer. I was just wondering what your favourites are? Ta. Quote Link to post

AIRGUNNER 1
If want a decent, sensitive, lite in weight rod then check out the GRX Spinning Rod made by Greys it comes in 9ft and 10ft. The cheapest i've seen them for is £55.99 and thats with a lifetime warranty. . Quote Link to post
Guest Eamon.Mc
Shakespear ugly stik lite 10ft spin. Agreat allrounder. Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
If its worming/prawning why not think about a diawa porky pig in 13foot. plenty of reach and plenty of grunt with this rod Quote Link to post
Aled 506
I use a John Wilson 11ft avon rod for my bait fishing its landed sea trout up to 13lb and salmon up to 9lb. Cheers Aled Quote Link to post
teknystoddy 0
how much you willing to pay ? Im quite happy to pay up to about £150 if its value for money. I'm using a Diawa Whisker Spin at the moment, good rod but it is quite a solid action. Has anyone used the Greyflex Bait rod? Cheers for the replies so far. Guest tawny
for worm and prawn you'll need a longer rod ,something about 12-13 foot. one of the best ive had is the greys prodigy specialist. comes with two top tips at 1.25 and 1.75 tc good for float or feeder, carp, light pike, salmon and bass, dont think youd go wrong with this one cover every thing you may need. no good for throwing a six oz lead 150 yards on a rock mark though, but as an allrounder cant fault it about £100 and with a life time warrenty Quote Link to post
teknystoddy 0
I like the look of that porky pig, but you cant beat that greys lifetime warranty. I cracked a joint on my greyflex m2 last season, sent the whole lot away and it was back in 2 weeks, like new. No probs. Still time to make a decision yet. Cheers, TT. Quote Link to post
