Lucky squirrels

Recommended Posts

So due to getting rid of the 50 something feral cats that where all around the area the squirrel population has boomed around he house. I know growing up it was kinda rare to see a squirrel or chipmunk unless you went a good lil ways off in the woods but now I have a nice lil population of common grey and red fox squirrels around the house. They're really pretty lil critters and don't cause any real problems so we just let them do their thing , even put out a little corn feeder for them along with the pecan trees. Will say though lil b*****ds have been getting bold . Will be in the car port working on something and one of the younger ones will just walk up a few feet away to my dog kibble tray and just sit there eating and watching me..as long as I don't make any really fast movements they don't seem to care much

I'll tell ya though their lucky I'm not my younger self . Shoot when I was 13 anything with a pulse stupid enough to stand still for too long got it. And with the gear I have now, be too easy. Especially with how they just do their best to sit like my air gun and .22 targets 😂

No squirrels yet, they too slippery lol stops them raiding the bird feeders, he's nailed a few rats

Neighbours big old Tom cat was always bringing them home, they liked coming down to a half devoured squirrel on the kitchen floor!

Yeah our old mog was a demon , remember waking up one Easter Sunday to find a rabbit with half its face missing on my Mr's side of the bed,  I was impressed but her not so 😄

I like seeing a cat around , we have three  at home , each one has their own little characteristics and mannerisms in The social hierarchy.

we did have 4 but got rid of one as it was affecting the rest so we got it away to a farm close by . The other three sort of “absorbed “ the role of the other one .

each one acts differently to each other , very unusual to watch .
