Unsure at this moment mate if I could find him a good home with others like himself I would as a solitary life in a hutch ain’t great but we will see will go with the best option for him, if he is wild bred he has been driven out as a young male so would be back in the same boat if I let him go have heard of another three being seen or found near me so am guessing like badgers it’s a seasonal thing of pushing out the young males as a way to stop inbreeding

Been watching Red kites for over 30 yrs first time today I saw 1 swoop and take a pigeon off a grass verge, Mid Wales

A bloke local to me took an incredible sequence of pics at the weekend,a kite taking a fish from the surface of a lake, some guy trying to tell him it’s an osprey,it’s 110% a red kite in west London, right place right time.

When you're away to Canada, that is.

Cardinals and buntings, apparently the same family/genus.

Wouldn't swear to, mind, my obsessive birdwatching days are long gone, even though I still have a keen interest.

I see cardinals daily over there, very common birds, there’s normally a couple around the lake at the back of the house.
