The Hunting Act ruined open hunting forums like this, what’s the point of posting hunting stories and pictures if it will attract arrest and prosecution? Im on a couple of WhatsApp groups that have a dozen or so members who can post what we want and there’s none of the arguments and nonsense that you get on open forums. Its a shame that the general section attracts far more discussion than the lurcher section, but there’s probably more members on here now who are more interested in football, politics, conspiracies, etc than are interested in hunting. Cheers.

Honestly most forums like this have become the stages for 24/7 pissing match / good ole boy clubs for less then a 5th in the total forum population I mean seriously go on these forums and see who's talking the most and its usually the same people arguing with the same people about the same shit the same ways....eghhh. That being said if anyone wants a freer place to share their pictures and stuff .... Trapperman.com pretty sure y'all's antis arnt staying at a "yank" ( just threw up a lil saying that mes ) site. And seriously we'd be more then happy to see posts about y'alls dogs and stuff.

To be honest Charts, there is only so much you can say about catching rabbits, if you openly post about other things youre a bit of a fool imo...so obviously the hunting side of the forum takes a bit of a knock, which is a shame... We used to post loads on our days/nights out but in the end it gets a bit repetitive and I don't think people are interested in reading it so much... It leaves us talking about standard men topics, I've always thought its a good forum as everyone is like minded, I've met some great lads off here and a few are now good friends of mine, because we share the same interests, I just don't think posting about hunting in the UK is sendible anymore 3

Seriously mate it's not worth the hassle of posting about anything hunting related with dogs if you're in the UK, yes rabbits are still legal in England but now banned in Scotland, it is better to keep quiet and keep at it imo .... Unfortunately some of the things posted on social media/forums are used against lads that hunt, you wouldn't post about robbing a house yet lads post about killing shit with dogs that is illegal, whether we like it or not, it's a shit situation but best kept to talking about in private not on here

I, too, have met and made a lot of friends on here, I wasn’t having a go at anyone, just giving my opinion on how these open hunting forums are hamstrung by the law, and how WhatsApp groups are safer, ( for now), for us to discuss our sport. DIDO.1 22,623
I don't want to really read about hunting on here.....or anywhere really. We have information overload in today's world. We all used to look forward to getting shooting times or sea angler magazine, we don't anymore..... because what can you write that we haven't read 200 times? Even 20 years ago the world was a lot smaller and it seemed interesting to read about different sport in different areas. I enjoy having the crack on here..... I don't really give a fck about hearing you ran 6 rabbits last night 2
gnasher16 30,040
It could be hunting with dogs, racing with dogs, fighting, football or a hundred other subjects of basic common interest to men of similar ilk, this one just happens to be hunting but id imagine you could go on any forum of those interests and see similar general dialogue.
Born Hunter 17,751
Technology moved on. The value of sites like this is just a place to have deeper discussions. In terms of entertainment the app based social media platforms have a way higher level of engagement. A huge volume and variety of content, millions of pictures and videos from all over the world. Pure ‘quick fixes’. And the effective ‘suggested posts/accounts’ features based on what you’re clicking on to keep users addicted.
kanny 20,446
I think technology has moved on ,this message board format is very limited on what you can do on it...personally I don't trust Facebook or Instagram but discord is great and its capabilities are endless, you can stream live video straight into the voice channel so you can all be having a laugh and bants while watching fury punch himself in the face for example lol
