Is it s(slow worm) don't think it's a grass snake. Little woody walked straight past it, good job old Buck didn't see it, he might have tried to pick it  up. Lol

It’s a slow worm I’ve had them hidden in my shed in the past they are actually a legless lizard not a worm or a snake or a pissed lizard before somebody jumps on it lol…

I think it's a male as the females have a black line down the back...or have I got that the wrong way round? I know the males sometimes have blue spots too.

I can remember as a youngun going on the waiste lands mooching with my lifting rocks tin slabs etc hunting these there rare these days not like they were,legless lizards

They used to be in the Tyne valley at Plankey Mill camp site,I found a few there as a kid,and an adder.
