it's always nice to see your first swallows arrive in the beginning of the year, it's one of my mums most favourite birds, she would get so much joy and pleasure seeing them arrive, as they fly back on the same old nests in the open ended stables from the year before, she would watch them from turning up right through to the chicks leaving the nest all lined up on the washing line...when i see my first swallow of the year, i always say to myself "hello mum" as it brings back some lovely memories for me, love you miss you mum....

I'm proofing a Wherehouse in Liverpool at the mo...and on one of the pillars on the building is a kestrel nest im sure the chick's looking about full grown...

Be the first year ever Swallow chick hatch with webbed feet Lol.

I haven't seen one yet but then haven't been out that much lately what with the rain and wind.
