The reason i know this, Is because i brought a loaf of. Hovis. Sunblest. Warburtons. Robertson's, Asda`s own, Tesco`s own, Morrisons own and Greggs, Placed them on the table in the shed and inspected them for Mould daily. Most lasted between 4 and 7 days but the Greggs stuff, Wow it`s unreal. it feels as fresh after a fortnight as it felt the day it was purchased, Possibly make you glow green at night if you ate to much of it though Lol.

i leave bread out for a few hour it’s gone hard and shit lol

Most bread nowadays is full of preservatives, Greggs bread can last 2 weeks or more without going mouldy!,

Its full of all sorts that aint food.Same as most processed/packet/jar food.Full of ingredients that aren't recognisable as food or sugar just going under a different name

After loosing a stone and half since Christmas and a few other health issues that's not really affected my day to day life after getting the all clear on the prostate examination and tests I have been told I am at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. As any other lads on here got this condition or same as me are at risk and what they do eating wise to keep it under control. I have also been sent a link to sign up and attend these group sessions and advice but don't want to go down that route.

i did some work for a retired nurse some time back, and just in conversation, diabetes came up which she said her father had, had it, well, she maintains that his high level count went down considerably when she put him on apple cider vinegar and honey daily, she swears by it...(my wife takes it daily for arthritis with great effects)...the best apple cider vinegar is the one called mother, it has all the bits in it that float around when you shake it....but you can buy it in capsule form....

also my uncle had diabetes, which he did get his levels down with a controlled diet....i don't know what his diet was but my auntie said he managed quite good at that time.....

Go on any keto channel and read the literally thousands of replys from people that have reversed type two through eating this way.....you don't need carbs or fibre in your diet for anything

I take a ginger and turmeric shot every morning mixed with sea moss as soon as im up and showered. Then I have 2 tbs of apple cider vinegar with mother and juice from 1/2 lemon in a 1/2 pint bottle of water whilst I walk the dogs.I then dont have anything else untill at least 10am at work or later if Im not hungry.I also dont eat anything after 6pm at the latest.

Thanks for the replies lad's. I am going to give Tomos advice a go and look into keto channel.

You honestly dont need all the carbs that were conditioned to think we need mate.I use to eat loads as I thought I needed them with how active I am but Ive cut them right down and feel great for it.My general work day goes.100g of natural 100%peanut butter with blueberries and a banana late morning.4 or 5 boiled eggs with mixed salad and advacado early afternoon with olive oil and sea salt,No salad dressings as theyre all full of sugar. Then a nice steak or pork chops, jerk chicken if Im lucky and loads of mixed veg no later than 6pm I might have a small ammount of sweet potato with my dinner.Breakfast on a weekend will generally be 1/2 a dozen poached or fried in dripping eggs with garlic mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach and if Im at mu missus's I might cheat and have some fried dumplings. And Im someone who used to scoff all day and think nothing of doing 8 or 10 slices of bread a day.I craved shit for a few weeks but now I dont even think about eating junk and never feel hungry

is it not dangerous for a diabetic that’s taking medication for it to go on tomo ?

you will end up with hypoglycaemia is some cases id see the quack before having a go predibetic and some may be ok but i’d check

and  you need carbs and fibre really don’t ya your fibre will slow how the carbs are broken down to sugar no spike

its carbs with a low glycemic index you need

your have carbs and  fibre in a keto diet don’t ya ?

eggs ?

milk?

fruit?

veg?

nuts?

Yeh to get in to ketosis you need to be fewer than 50 gram of carbs a day I think it is....your liver then releases ketones...they have many effects on the body...if weight loss is your goal ...then ketones are great because they burn body fat....

For me those channels are great for info....but the big thing I took from them was the comments left by the thousand of people that have done and changed there life round....there people that have dramatically changed and healed there numerous illness....

Fibre is a complete myth..mate....I go the loo now once a day ...rather than the 5 or 6 like before I now realise I had ibs...the Mrs had said it for years but I didn't believe her..

Another thing might be coincidence but I haven't been ill since doing this...I would get 2 or 3 colds a year...but nothing since starting....

By the way I try to do it a bit more extreme being more carnivore than keto...and don't eat any vege or fruit at all

Something downsouth just touched on...

Eating this way stops you getting really hungry eating loads of animal protein and fat stops you craving food...its weird took me by surprise to be fair cos I would want to eat every 3 or 4 hours....that's gone now usually eat just twice a day ....I never thought I would be like that
