gnasher16 30,061
As a lifelong admirer of the Apbt these shitty useless 2 bob mutts they call Xl Bullies are the perfect example of why folk like me who are purists do not condone the crossing of the breed in any way whatsoever. Kept by the right people for the right purposes the pure, proven family bred Apbt is the Rolls Royce of the sport it was intended for, even crossing to another family within the breed needs careful consideration....a cross outside the breed should not even be an option......why would anybody with a Rolls Royce even consider putting a Cortina engine in it !......likewise why would a Rolls Royce owner allow there car to be prostituted out in order to improve a Cortina......no.....the many years of extreme selection is what makes them the elite in the first place.......why go and f**k that all up for money or ego which can be got anywhere.....to me there is no excuse at all for breeding a genuine honest example of the Apbt outside of its own. Spot on Gnashing.mate, in pure form the bulldog=apbt the supreme canine athlete of the dog world, and as you say in the right hands the breed great animal to be around. OK the pit added to the lurcher genes, as deff gave the lurcher great benefits grit ,power, drive. To make them great hunting dog. But these xl bully things, are just poor bred bandog type animal, bred as guard dog etc, just a money making thing. Some are fetching up to £25 grand , what said on the TV just watched. The big prob with those dogs. Is that nobody really knows if they have reliable temps. Bloody he'll 40lb bulldog=apbt would wreak you if fippled it's lead, so God knows what a 100lb xl bully could do if it went crazy.

timmy k 590
Funny what you say because the bull lurcher is not just bastardizing one great athlete but two, both the best at their chosen profession if you will, but it works and works well. I agree though with the concept. especially if the end result is so you look hard

It has no bearing whatsoever on the APBT's lines

Though I honestly do not see the point in breeding the apbt to other breeds to create monstrosity dogs we see like the xl bully's.
Daniel cain 45,148
I've not seen/met one of them XL bully things, that I would own/feed personally...looking about now, there's lots of lads with these presa/ corso X's ,cropped ears and docked tails all over the dog pages on Instagram etc...how long before the dickheads start crossing alsorts into them??? Letting such an animal loose AMONGST your terriers/runners joining in and busting stuff up...is a recipe for disaster ...I honestly can't see why anyone in this country would have a use for one, other than to stroke their egos...and peddle the pups to the next joker... Bumped into a f***ing idiot few nights ago... getting dragged around on the lead by one around our little fishing lake...shouted over don't come near him..the bloke had to be 20 stone, had no control whatsoever... thinking if he goes out after 12 am he's f***ing safe to let it roam around some poor cnuts walking home from the pub, cutting through and this thing could grab them game overor worse still one of the youngsters doing a nighter Quite a few of these dogs by me,have become ill, someones f****d off and going around chucking poison treats over the garden's and through the letter boxes...not ideal as you ain't guaranteed to hit the Pacific target...but needs must I guess..

Nobody needs dogs like that, especially the wannabe gangsta ballbegs that seem to be desperate to be seen with them.

True mate, was just refection on size differences with xlbully, and apbt , wonder what mastiff type there using I did read, some used and and some used presa with apbt to get a xlbully type dog. I don't trust a presa few lads who protection work , say real handful to work with. I think it was on news tonight somebody been.attacked in brummie tonight by a dog. Not sure of the breed .?
