Animals always seem to know

Recommended Posts

Been trying for the last few months to get into predator calling, and round here that's mainly coyotes bobcat read and grey fox.  Got a fox pro caller ,  a neat little .17 cal wildcat along with my other guns in that range of stuff ( still need a shotgun) . But yeah been all over the black calling and no dice  day or night. Except for hawks and crows, I can call in a redtail hawk within the first 2min of my stand half the time it seems 🤦 so idk I'm just thinking either I really suck or their just none where I've been calling at that perticular time.

Well I'm out in my car port last night doing some bullet casting with my new mold and about 200yd max across the pasture a few coyotes start lighting up , first was just one then another few joined in and just started going in. Had to have been at least 5-6 and proceeded to go on for about an hour and a half. And when I say I felt like I could have probably hit one with a sling shot with enough elevation correction just shooting at the sound I'm not joking . For this wondering what they sound like this is about the fist two minutes

Now I know some of y'all are probably wonder why I'd didn't just use my night vision and blast one. Well I would but my NV scope is broke due to one of the screw on the mount being stripped so not it won't hold Zero 🤦 and I the guys to own that property these coyotes are on are out of state hunters and treat the place like North Korea, even though about any time you talk to them their complaining about all the fox or coyotes. And the critters aren't stupid , they know their safe on these hunting leases but that's their ass the second they step over in a cow pasture.  And they always seem to know when my gear is down and when to get brave like this 😑

Not even 200yd from my front door
