forest of dean redneck 11,598
Shooting pigs ? wasn’t there a tale in a gatekeeper/poachers book About gypsies taking deer with a catapult ? The women would be collecting firewood and coughing etc to move the deer and men would hide by the trail in a wood then shoot the deer at point blank range using sharpened finger blades from an Allen sythe mower ? the deer supposed to collapse after a while from blood loss /organ punctures . it wasn’t a Plummer tale either of I remember . I don’t think all shooters are snotty arse wipes some are good down to earth blokes I work along side a dude that’s big in to his shooting/stalking he gets out occasionally with Lurchers on the lamp that one of his mates owns he says it’s a change now and again. The worst type of shooters are shooters that lease shooting rights they start acting like they own the land and what’s on there.me an my cousin had a few run ins with this type years ago
