Im a believer in “power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts”, and the Royals may not have the legal or constitutional power and haven’t since Charles the second, but they have massive influence on the establishment, but I cant see how making Beatrice queen would be accepted and how it would be any improvement. Im certainly no constitutional expert, but if Charles were to abdicate surely the crown would go to the next in succession ? When Edward v111 abdicated he had no say in who succeeded him.
