I have just bought a Blaser R93 with a .243 and .308 barrel and I want a moderator for both barrels but I have heard so much about so many different makes that I wanted to hear some people who are actually using them day in and day out and see which one they preferred. Thanks Jon. since both are diffrent have diffrent muzzle energy, you will need 2 mods or a similar rifle that has a similar dia barrel on both, & a well built 308 mod , will do the job for the 243, plinker also try the T8 series on the magnum side.. or get in touch with an expert on a shoot site forum by the name of DM80 .. woz 260 Posted February 5, 2008 Report Share Posted February 5, 2008 ASE UTRA EVERY TIME.....IV JUST BOUGHT A T8 FOR MY 223 BECAUSE IV PUT THE ASE ON MY 17HMR...THEY ARE BRILLIANT BUT THERE AROUND £300...THE T8 IS OK ISH BUT THERE TINNY AND ROT OUT QUICKLY IF YOU DONT LOOK AFTER THEM...I SPRAY MINE WITH WD40 ROLL THEM AROUND AND LEAVE THEM ON A RADIATOR FOR 24 HOURS EVERYTIME I USE THEM... sheepworrier 1 Posted February 6, 2008 Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 I use a dragon mod on my 243 and it comes with removable end cap for various calibres, aledgedly (?) these are the dogs dangly bits although I've only got mine in 243 cal Quote Link to post
