On Sunday I ordered a cheap recurve bow off Amazon only thirty odd quid to see if I could learn how to shoot a traditional bow with no sights, it only has a 20lb draw. So I googled the fec out of how

Bit of practice at bottom of kennels. Got to say I prefer the triangle bow, am sure to a purist archer it would be a gimmick or china eBay junk for £140. But for my novice learning curve it shoots lov

Been watching a lot of slotmaster Tim Wells on YouTube

My friend met Tim Wells a couple of weeks ago when TW was one of those who opened the brand new 140,000 Sq Ft Bass Pro in Irvine around 10 minutes from my mates house. He said TW was a great character but was slightly bemused that his  Blowguns are banned in Cali as they are considered dangerous weapons.

Ive watched a good few of the blowgun vids, and I was surprised by how limited the range was on them. So am surprised they are banned in certain states. TW certainly seems some character,  but living the dream and travelling and making money out of something he loves to do.

Wolfie , have you had a go with the blowguns ? Or are they illegal in your state mate

When I was younger. Use to make them from PVC pipe bamboo skewers and other odds and ends. Crazy how accurate and powerful they can be. Should probably get back into it a little with the pieces of theses nice ones now days

Mississippi is pretty liberal as far as game laws so should be ok to use it on at the least , small game

They seem a relatively cheap price. From what I can see from TW vids. You would have to get very very close to your quarry to have any success. I would imagine optimum field craft.

I just visited the only bow shop in the UK with a strong bow hunting vibe, great place, the owner is restringing my bow when my GAS string arrives from the states,he was saying he is probably closing the shop and going over to online sales as business isn’t so good,we chatted about the bloke who shot the copper with a Crossbow this week and how it’s probably a nail in the coffin for legit toxophilites.

Looks an awesome shop and such a shame he is closing the shop and going online only, I would much much prefer to spend my hard earned cash in small business owners shops like this to keep them alive then on Amazon ect. I could spend hours in there looking and asking him questions on archery. Didn't see the copper crossbow incident this week. But will be used as a nail in the coffin for bow sports I'm sure .

Greyman what sort of range and accuracy were you getting with these ? I just picked up a simple shot one, great fun learning it.
