Lol Have you decided which style of bow you’re going for?Little tip there’s rumours broadheads might be getting banned if a new raft of archery restrictions come into place (crossbow licensing)so you might want to get a few packs now online, perfectly legal at the moment. One step ahead of you Mac, eBay and Amazon. But not sure of bow yet. I think my local archery club frowns upon compounds . But there is another which you can use them at. But I am tempted to just try and learn off my own back and watching YouTube tutorials . It's the sighting methods, there seems a few. Also both eyes open or shoot with dominant eye open.

Watched him spear hunt a grizzly bear, a red stag and a crocodile which was still thrashing in the water when he went in to coup de grace. Not everyone's cup of tea but certainly made interesting viewing if anybody's not seen it. He deffo has a set of danglies on him ! Would put the videos up but am crap with teckno lol. Also the blowpipe vids worth a watch, very primitive ways of hunting. One time about tim ,dont try that anti rhetoric with him . You know how they say " id like you to kill that bear with just a spear! " Yeaaahhhh he'll do it guy has point blank said if one of these animals kills him one day so be it and man I love the guy for that

Jait need a good consistent anchor point a decent release and just line up one of them pins. Keeping you bow still is probably the biggest problem. At least for me. Because if you move it too much before that arrow is completely gone then you'll have point of aim shift. Basically what you be looking at with most modern peep and pin style sights

And would I shoot like I do with a sling shot , hold in left hand draw with right dominant hand while left eye is closed and right dominant eye open ? Cheers

Cheers Peeps are just the standard now days and super easy to use all in all. Now theirs a lot of different types of sites and peeps but the basic pin site and and peep is pretty hard to mess up. And yeah it's about the same as a sling shot in most aspects. .... I'm right eye dominant for the most part so shoot a right hand bow. So hold it with my left hand draw with my right. This is me with my lil 70lbs compound. Just skip to like the 2:30 mark and you can see at 15yd it's pretty easy to shoot decent with one of these I will say though getting a arm slap from one of these is ...not fun lol

Wolfdog91 7,043
O two more things when it comes to compounds , releases and rests. With compounds you generally don't use you fingers to shoot , you can and a lot of people do but for the most part most use a release. Which is just a lil contraption that grips the dela on the powe stri g and give you a trigger. There a few different types but a decent wrist mounted on works just fine. You also have these type with more guys are moving to , not sure why though And then the rests.....so there a few different kinds drop away being what a lot of guys like now but me...idk I just use a whisker biscuit... because they work pretty well and their cheap.
