No car is any better than another nowadays mate you get a Friday car that breaks every ten minutes or a Monday car, a rolls Royce will have a fiat part on and so on and so on, buying new cars is a lot

There was a maestro turbo that was a cozzie (escort) killer ..  Cars of the past have a lot more character imo .

A mate of mine complete petrol head has owned a lot of cars, and has settled on an A3 quattro 3.2 v6 I think basically a golfr with 4x4 cheap enough if you can find one

I was thinking of getting the 435d but just going to look at the 420d, only 30 quid a year tax instead of around £200, still nippy enough for me and our lass, 435d is probably overkill with today's roads, cameras everywhere.

go for it the 435 d is a good fast motor better then the audi

I think audi build quality and reliability is good and they seem to hold there value reasonably well in comparison to other cars I’ve had a little s3 for about 8 possibly 9 years now and had no issues only service items

Same ...only issue I've had was a mouse chewed up the fuel pump and a issue with the key fob , other than that it's been faultless and it gets driven with all the beans daily lol

I drove M2 Competition a few years ago, hit 165mph in no time. But like you say, they feel that planted it's not hair raising, my arse has twitched more in an old Civic Type R, but then again that's always the case when you're a passenger.

I have a 530d est manual mapped and a few bits removed egr, swirl flaps, cat it shifts but still gives me 55mpg on a run once had a flat battery otherwise faultless 👍

We got a 525d auto, mapped to about 300bhp which is plenty and same as you 55 on a run and it's about 35 round town

A mate has owned a few different M5 over the years and reckons his 2020 M5 Compilation is the worst drivers car of them all, even with all the driver aids off it still feels like the car is driving itself, still manages to scare the fcuk outta me every time I'm in it.

It just felt super stable and planted, loved the heavy steering as well, brilliant car. Never gave it any in the corners, just took it for a run on the motorway, I'd almost hit 160mph by the time I'd run down the slip road, rapid.

Fast little cars alright, same lad had a M4 coupe a couple of years ago and that was a proper drivers car.

I'd rather a 3/4 yr old M3/M5 ...I wouldn't touch any of the new 1/2/4/6 series cars they do these days...had a 135 M when they first came out...was a bag of shite...left it wrapped up around a lamppost😁

Not long got rid of a 09 plate 320d M sport, lot of car for not alot of money ,only done 72,000 from new,1 lady owner(step mother)payed 2k for it, garage gave me 4600 part ex👍
