Leatherface 173
Anybody on here got a Beemer, thinking of getting a 4 series Gran Coupe, not impressed with this VW Passat I've got, looked after it well and had nothing but trouble with it for the last year.

No car is any better than another nowadays mate you get a Friday car that breaks every ten minutes or a Monday car, a rolls Royce will have a fiat part on and so on and so on, buying new cars is a lottery

Greyman 28,130
My daughter has quite a new Msport thing with the display projected onto the windscreen gone through a couple of screens already as they are a lot thinner than the non projected screen
paulus 26
The Mrs has an X1 s drive 2 ltr petrol, Had it from new in 2022, Before that she had a Rav4 2.5ltr Hybrid. Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with the BMW. Apart from the indicators are a pain in the arse for not turning themselves off and there's no reversing camera, But in my opinion the Rav4 was a far better car, The best BMW i have ever owned was a 1990 325i. kanny 20,433
Me personally I would be looking at the audi A5/S5 coupe ..I just find the styling and interior design more appealing on the Audi's , obviously it's subjective....

I'm reluctant to go with Audi with all the bother I've had with the VW.
Leatherface 173
I was thinking of getting the 435d but just going to look at the 420d, only 30 quid a year tax instead of around £200, still nippy enough for me and our lass, 435d is probably overkill with today's roads, cameras everywhere.

Even in the VAG group you see different qualities between brand Skoda karoq/VW Tiguan same base car but the VW as a far better quality about it .

Build quality is one thing but reliability is another and when your putting shitty french parts on quality cars they then become the same as the worse part, and when computer says no it means no regardless, I can tell the difference in build quality between the paper thin aygo she toes on the motor home and the bmw she drives to work but neither is more reliable than the other in my humble opinion in fact I would say the bmer has spent more time in the garage

Leatherface 173
The 420d is fine for me, 60mpg and 0-60mph in around 7.3 secs, still tempted with a 435d, 0-60mph 4.7 secs.
