As you can see from the picture one head bolt is bent, the sprung steel pin is rusted into two pieces, The whole thing had been in the rain with no spark plug fitted at some point in its life, as there was rust coloured orange oil and staining everywhere, The barrel is pitted, possibly unsalvageable as the head is in the bin due to bad fracturing, made a start on cleaning up what i can and have spent a couple of hours trying to find parts, The difficulty is there are so many variant's of this engine that most parts advertised are incorrectly identified, Luckily this is a three speed engine and was only manufactured in 1959 and then only for a short period, being sold into early 1960. be steel sleeve in the barrel won’t it mate ? i send to langcourts there descent

Going to have a pop at getting the other one running later now i have found the ignition timing advance figure.

Stavross 15,593
They were a quick bike in their day when I was 14/15 a bloke down the street from me had a 80’s GSX750ES, proper smart, blue and white with gold wheels, one night my mate liberated it form his garage, I’d never ridden anything that big before, It was normally Cub90’s or things like cg125’s that we’d rag around fields, I jumped on it went flying up the street past my house and straight through a fence, did a runner and watched the police turn up, everyone in the street knew it was me but didn’t say anything, even the bloke who’s bike it was, I seen my dad talking to him and my old man ether bunged him a few quid or he was to scared to say out to me old man, ether way good old Normski saved my bacon again
