As you can see from the picture one head bolt is bent, the sprung steel pin is rusted into two pieces, The whole thing had been in the rain with no spark plug fitted at some point in its life, as there was rust coloured orange oil and staining everywhere, The barrel is pitted, possibly unsalvageable as the head is in the bin due to bad fracturing, made a start on cleaning up what i can and have spent a couple of hours trying to find parts, The difficulty is there are so many variant's of this engine that most parts advertised are incorrectly identified, Luckily this is a three speed engine and was only manufactured in 1959 and then only for a short period, being sold into early 1960.

Yes but i have found a replacement head and barrel for i think less than the cost of having it done. Going to have a pop at getting the other one running later now i have found the ignition timing advance figure.

Am on the look out for 2 tyres tubes n rim tape for my 1972 pc50 am doing Johno grotes to lands end on it again next year and its on tyres from the 80s ha the size is 2.19 front and 2¼ 19 rear , any one know were I will get a set ?

Iv had loads of bikes well still got a few but non of them make me smile ( and sometimes laugh) as much as this one they just so funny,   am on with decorating it with a 6ft Christmas tree and lights for our town light switch on at the weekend
