After the fall of the Soviet Union, Putin turned Russia into a Kleptocracy; sharing out all the industry and wealth with his friends and supporters.
Him and his pals became billionaires and the Russian people became poorer.

Yes, our lot are lying, corrupt shithouses, but are amateurs compared to Putin.

Cheers.

Come on mate, they ain’t poorer than bread cues and Trabants, they just ain’t !
I just defies logic to suggest they are.

I read a good comment earlier which said Tucker should now interview Biden and then we can see the difference between the two leaders, night and day springs to mind.

Our kid was armed forces most of his life and I know he wouldn't be offended by anything mchull has said, in fact I think they would get on. He doesn't go in for all the forces heroe worshipping.....t

The people that tell us that China ,Russia and Iran are a threat ,are the same people that want to flood the west with millions of people from the 3rd world.

Western leaders are shithouses and don't give a f**k for the common man, that has been proven time and again...but to suggest the multi billionaire Putin cares for his people anymore is ridiculous, he's amassed a fortune that no western leader can get near, he's done it by raping the mass resource that Russia boasts and his people can't call foul play or they aren't seen again...is the average Russian truly better off than your average English man or American?

so the russians aare poorer and worse off since putin came to power chart ?

When the likes of Thatcher and Brown privatised most of the utilities and industries, they sold them to the highest bidders and the proceeds went into the Exchequer.

When Putin sold off Russias infrastructure, he sold them to his cronies for next to nothing and the profits went into THEIR pockets making them billionaires. The Russian people saw nothing of the money .

Putin isn’t the benevolent Solomon you seem to think he is. Power corrupts, as with our politicians; absolute power absolutely corrupt as in Putin and his pals.

I could spend time checking the GDP per capita of Russia from when Putin came to power until now, but I can’t see the point.

Putin has enriched himself and his pals at the expense of the Russian people, just like our lot have enriched themselves at the expense of the British people, so this “Putin good; West bad” doesn’t make sense; at least to me !

Cheers.

Mate , I could embarrass you by saying I’m arguably more exposed to this conflict than anyone on here

I’ve been cordial and civil and will continue to be so as it’s a much more compelling way than just launching insults comrade

As for the last one , it’s two seperate issues .

im firmly of the thoughts that Russia were all “ well let’s just f**k up the food market by seizing the Ukrainian farming market and make the west pay through the nose “ as a demonstration of capabilities .

they overreached and have came to a impasse where if they continue they may get leathered and if they retreat they loose face .

the west benefits as it shows how a possible conflict would look with the Russians and the gaps in their capabilities become easy targets to hammer . So elongating the process serves a good study and use of soft power such as funding gives the west the moral high ground without risking reputation or boots lives .

that simple really .

Was Putin trying to get his hands on the Ukrainian food market pre 2014?

So the west benefits by funding a war in Ukraine where 100s of thousands of people have been killed so they can see where the Russian weaknesses are in case of a future conflict and Putin is the bad guy in all this.

I see it slightly different to you; I see countries that had formally been part of the USSR now being independent and wanting to join a freer , richer , more democratic west.
They are joining us, we aren't invading them.

Cheers.
