Back in the vibrant 1980s and 1990s, the lurcher scene was buzzing with excitement. Lurcher Shows were popping up every week, ranging from small gatherings to grand events, all across the UK – it was a thrilling era! Personally, I wasn't a die-hard show enthusiast. The competitive atmosphere and the ultra-enthusiastic crowd weren't exactly my cup of tea. I preferred genuine connections with like-minded individuals rather than diving into the intense world of rosette hunting. Nonetheless, these shows served as excellent hubs for meeting authentic folks from all corners of the country. We could strategize upcoming trips, delve into discussions about future breeding projects, and share our passion for lurchers. The entire showbiz and the rosette-chasing frenzy might not have been my scene, but those were undeniably halcyon days worth cherishing. Edited January 31 by OldPhil 3 1 Quote Link to post

OldPhil 5,656
Securing the third position holds its value when we acknowledge that a rosette gains significance through the recognition of the wisdom and experience, of the one presenting it. Without such respect, it becomes nothing more than a meaningless trinket, collecting dust and devoid of true worth. Edited February 2 by OldPhil 1 Quote Link to post

I could get misty-eyed Phil , but l'll just say that the elegantly waxed lyrics of the above ,blue -toned prose , convey with understated eloquence a regard held beyond the intrinsic value of a yellow ribbon . Though it may gather dust , it can never be meaningless. Or were you taking the mick? Edited January 31 by comanche 1 Quote Link to post
