A hidden curriculum is what happens in a classroom without necessarily anybody intending it to happen. It's not formally taught.

I was one voice on a school board. I was not Education Secretary for 20 years.We did introduce a successful debating society to try and give state kids more confidence and also mock university interviews so that they were familiar with being grilled at interview.

We did introduce a free breakfast service courtesy of donations thankfully received from local businesses. I am still involved with that. We did also end the two colour free dinner ticket/ bought ticket practice.  Horrible if you've ever experienced it.

We did also remove junk food vending machines from the school and cleaned up the school dinners so that they were healthier. Nanny state to some,common sense to me.

Your Liverpool jibe made me laugh. I love Liverpool supporters. Did you see them genuinely applaud the goal the opposition scored yesterday. I thought that was class. I thought that had died out.

Have you ever thought about becoming a West Ham supporter? You do nothing but criticise them. You wouldn't be welcome anyway. You'd be throwing bananas and making monkey chants.

There's nobody more self pitying than you. Poor Wilf driven from his home by blacks, living an angry bitter life away from his homeland. Smell the coffee mate,you have a great life. Away from all the shit of city life and the irritation of trying to run a business where your government seems to hate you. I've been there too.

Finally a plea. A bargain. I'll drop the angry class warrior stuff if you drop the constant drumbeat of black and third world bitterness. It permeates the whole forum. One member said during your absence that the forum was much improved while you were away. I actually disagreed and said your posts were often thoughtful and interesting. But I'm beginning to change my mind.

You and Stiif also harass individual members. Big Max was driven mad by your piss taking of his wife and kid. Low mate. Katchum was another good member who left because of you. There was also the matter of being trafficked, the tremendous disparity in ages and status of him and his victim.

Wow !!!…..my post wasn’t meant to be full of insults, I thought it was a discussion.

You have obviously completely misinterpreted the tone of my reply’s which is easily done in the written word.

If I have hurt your feelings as much as I obviously have then I apologise.

Maybe on reflection I should have worded it “any school governor could have done something about that” rather than “you as a school governor could have done something about”……I meant the same but I can see how it can be taken completely differently. 
 

However, you diatribe betrays your true perception of me in as much as you get perceptions of people in this anonymous world of “the net” and that’s completely fine.

I like these conversations not to try and convince people of my way of thinking, I only offer that in honest reply, no….my interest is in digging in and understanding how others think and why.
