More up to date in modern history; the Arab (muslim), Revolt, led by Col. Lawrence, helped defeat the Ottoman Empire (muslim) and lead to us winning WW1. Sikhs fought in the trenches of the Western Front, and Gurkha Buddhists fought with distinction in the Falklands and other conflicts.
