Hand Held Electric Chain saw!

Recommended Posts

Evening All

With the hunting life forum being the broad church it is i am wondering if anybody has any experience of using the small hand held electric chain saw for pruning cutting small logs kindlin etc? See picture below. This isn't the specific brand i'm looking at (open minded as to type) but they seem to get mixed reviews so any advice appreciated.

Cheers. Aled

If you need a chainsaw for occasional use one of the domestic saws from Husqvarna or Stihl would probably fit the bill

Thanks guys. I've got a larger chain saw for bigger stuff, looking for a smaller one to get into those smaller gaps where you need a bit of thinning to start things off. Cheers. Aled

I've got the makita one double battery job..not a bad little saw but I've only used it a few times

Fencing contractor I know uses one for cutting rails etc. he rates it saves pulling a pull start all day

A couple of gardeners l know have them.  No messing about with pull starts and petrol mix just to nip off a couple of little branches. They get in places a bow saw or loppers won't  fit . A big plus is that like  the rest of their  battery powered kit ,it gets charged on the customer's electricity🙂

Being such a short chain and bar l would guess it does get some concentrated wear so keeping the cutters sharp is pretty important.
