sambo123 594
Anyone know what tree this is? Just been for a wander with the hounds and saw a mixed flock of Goldies and siskins feeding on this. There must have been around 60 birds in total on one tree. Cheers, Sam.

This time of the year you'll find many finches hard at it. I went for a walk local picking black thorn buds , birch buds & some cherry blossom for the birds. Went in this morning nothing left at all. Will give them some more at the end of week. All my cock birds have picked up from goldfinches to the canaries plus the bullfinch cock I've got. The brown pastel hen his calling to him too now. Great to hear bullfinches specially the cock birds when they do the robot like tune brilliant. . Alot of my cocks & hen in the goldfinches are what they call pairing by mouthing one another. Hens Start to submit to the cock birds. It's great to see because with that you know there not guna be any mess about come season them not taking to each other.

Nice chucky buds deep redish colour. Apple buds too dog Rose nips , black thorn , cherry blossom and the buds. Many buds if you see the birds on them and eating away get them picked. Another good one conifer ends the fresh light green tips. The bullfinches love them mate. I give them to the goldfinches too & canaries.
