Are you referring to a s mate

Correct, I was talking to him about Billy, father of Oscar 2. We just had a craic and he told me the above comment. He must be wrong though because mcplonker disagrees.

Sankey bred both the parents to my dog so he's probably bred the dogs you mention I will put his breeding up for you if I can find it I think it works out 1/2 brother sister mating with my dog.

Edit to say they used the greyhound as the outcross and then the next outcross was a smooth imported saluki as per the second ped.

Look at that mcdull comp winner straight from a greyhound.
We are starting to get off topic now but what I will say is that same man keeps top level animals whatever they are and I reckon his knowledge and track record might just pip yours. LOL

i do lol

i’ve  blood from his dogs in mine

i’m surprised he thought blondie etc were slow and couldn’t kill on small land

sankey got dogs in he wasn’t there at start putting sals and grey together was he to get what we’re running now

great dogs he’s had none the less

Nobody ever said that, you just hear what you want.

he bred the way he did to freshen the blood and it suited fields as he had finished with the fens.

no doubt you will read it differently than it was written but there you are.

Here’s a very simple term, why do people bred 1/4 bull greyhounds ? Because the half’s can’t usually catch, greyhound added = more speed.

anyway enough of the Saluki talk this is joes lampers thread. Stop infecting it.

@mC HULL your theory of nobody going back to greyhounds has been blew right out the water good and proper 🤣 anymore pearls of wisdom you would like to share? Oh THL guru of all running dog knowledge 🤣 you have been made to look stupid by a few people on this topic with your silly talk and theory's on greyhounds and whippet's 🤮🤣

If someone wants to add more speed to a line of bull blooded dogs, but doesn’t want to add saluki which is totally understandable if you don’t like that kind of dog, then going back to a greyhound or heavily greyhound influenced lurcher is really the only way. Saluki blood can bring a lot to the table but it can bring a lot of negatives as well so I can see why some people wouldn’t want to risk adding it to their dogs
