joe ox 2,574
One from the 2014 rut which I remember well because of the way it was brought down and his dark colour, Molly grabbed it by the snout and it did a nose dive somersault, quite spectacular to watch, not the biggest of bucks probably in his forth year of age, good action none the less. It was a cold frosty still night early November at the end of the rut. I thought we were gona blank but we got him about half four /five in the morning. 6 Quote Link to post
Bits n bobs 763
Joe back on subject looking back through the family of dogs what traits continue to emerge in each generation that really stand out for you? And if you went back through the dogs that were successful would there be A DOG that just edged everything else for you? Quote Link to post

I would have any of the great ones back in my kennels in a heartbeat. The perfect lurcher for me and my needs out of a lurcher would be something in between the two types but probably favouring type 1. I suppose the type 1 were my bread and butter, running night in night out very few ailments, easy to condition and keep in condition, they were great dogs to own and have the pleasure of running. I would hate to say I favour one dog as I would feel as if I'm dishonouring the fond memory's I have of all of them. 8 Quote Link to post

If I had an outstanding bitch I’d dog it at 3 years old especially since I’d only be thinking of myself. 1 Quote Link to post
