well all i can say we never get any trouble down here police fine,ive met up with them on my travells several times there more interested in how the dogs catch the rabbits then anything else but most people with lurchers down here are into the shows not the working side,so not many in the fields at night,all the better for me,mark

very true mush, there are still a good few at it, head down in to the depths of the west and you find several interesting charicters working their dogs. its like stepping back in time with a few of them who seem to have been left behind by rules and regs.

mush dont talk a load of rubbish i ve been down here nearly 10 yrs always in that time lamped ,only ever come across one other bloke in the field that was jackie, and done the shows for the last 2 seasons only?how many seasons have you done shows for?are haw many times have you been out on the lamp are fereted in the last 4 yrs??????????i know a few people down and around here and the lampers are mainly shooters not dog people,mark

i think it important to add that if you get arrested for hunting conie with dogs,go to the police station,get a solicitor.WHEN THE SOLICITOR POINTS OUT THAT YOU HAD PERMISSION AND WHAT YOU WERE DOING WAS PERFECTLY LEGAL,YOU WILL BE IN FOR COMPO FOR WRONGFULL ARREST!!!! this fact and based on reliable information. the police officer has a duty to ensure he is fully versed in the laws he is to enforce.

i hope and pray for a wrongfull arrest,could do with the money!

I had a wee incident with a lone copper a few years back, he drove into the field and jumped out and told me I had to get off there immediately. I had a young pup with me and I was doing a bit of training, just basic stuff, sit, recall etc. I told him to get lost and that I wasnt doing anything wrong, so he says he would have to take the dog off me, he was one of those big fat bullying types, you know the ones who were probably picked on their whole lives for being fat, spotty, greasy kids so they join the police as soon as they grow up so they can wreak revenge on the world I picked the dog up in my arms and said if you want my dog you will have to fecking fight me for it and I walked right past him and he never said one word to me, just got in his motor and drove off

theres a lot of coppers in syndicates and they police there shoots more then they look after little old women being robbed by druggies,they push the law more on someone whos crossing a field with a few pheasant pullets in it then they do someone robbin a house,
