Weird shitty bugs at this time of year.

Recommended Posts

I never catch these fkn things but, after a quick visit to hospital a couple of weeks ago, something has properly caught hold of me and given me a right kick up the arse - I feel pissed, I've got runny eyes, a cough, snotty nose, really weird dreams, the sweats - it's nothing serious, it's not covid, I'm just out out of direction and, I wish it would f**k off. Normally I put on an extra layer and sweat the b*****d off at work for as long as it takes.

Because I'm off work at the moment I've been using 2 sachets of Lemsip in cold mineral water. It's like a medicinal gatorade. Also, a good few sips of dark rum, a long walk in fresh air and a sprint up Barbury or Silbury hill when I get there 👍🏻 there's a good set of steps at Kings Hill aswell but, some daft tart called an ambulance when I rolled down the last bit a few days ago.

I hate regular people and I hate these feckin bugs but, I feel like I've dealt with the worst of it today 🤞🏻

I had something similar in November for best part of three weeks, first few days were worst , I used lemsip with honey and couple of ibroprofen. But it just  alleviates it , best you can do is rest and stay hydrated.

I'm a great believer in Zinc Tablets myself. Honey good for a Cough have a jar with spoon in it by the bed if you start coughing just have a spoonful and no limit to what you can take.

Cheers Arry.

I came down with the same thing the Thursday before Christmas, the wife and kids had it the week before and I thought I'd missed it but no the fecker caught me. I'm blaming the 15 pints of Guinness I had on the Tuesday for lowering my immune system. Lol. Done 27 km up and down a mountain on the bike yesterday so right as rain again.
