Apparently we have quite a few in our stretch of the Ribble, some good ones as well I'm led to believe. If your in the northwest then your welcome to a day with me....I've never fished our stretch for em like and only ever caught two small ones on the stretch above. Strange thing is it's only a really shallow loch. I'm hoping to have a week up there in summer. I'll add a link to the loch if your ever up there

jok 3,255
A book by Charles Ritz on grayling fishing springs to mind. The only grayling I caught was on the Tweed at Melrose. Jok.
NEWKID 27,158
We catch quite a few on the River Tone in Taunton, only coarse fishing so normally on maggot trotted along under a stick float...if you get over and come down this way your welcome for a day with us, there are a couple of free stretches that we fish normally... might not be quite the purist approach catching on a fly but you've more chance on maggot! You’re right about the grayling there , I was shown some photos of some good ones from there when I was a member of Ryburn and Halifax . It was actually the Lancashire Calder that goes into the ribble I meant , it’s full of grayling and 2lb+ fish are not uncommon when I’m fishing the stickfloat .
