I prefer something more traditional

vandal that uses stencils springs to mind with Banksy, undoubtidly has some talent as an artist but if it was not for the lurvies exalting him he would be yet another would be artist working in anothe

Wondering if it was a genuine theft or a stunt like his Shredder.

Publicity stunt I reckon

Could be,remember his piece at auction that destroyed itself?

the guy who held the bike while the other bloke nicked the sign said the theft had zilch to do with him,he was just there as a bystander.

Street art if your famous vandalism if your not.

Can never get my head around why youths do that tagging just pure vandalism imo usually on shop shutters and such like that just make rundown area's look bigger shit hole's than they already are.

It’s not always youths Tats,I have a friend who has a paint shop, sells sprays,I sit in there sometimes having a cup of tea and the customers coming in can be anyone from a 12 year old kid with his mum in tow to pay for his paint to a 50+ year old professional,a lot of the customers are in their 30’s and 40’s it’s a strange culture,I never understood it till I mixed with those involved.I know a graffer who specialises in trains who bought a thermal for nocturnal track missions,he has access keys and tracky uniform, there’s always people who take it to the next level.I was in an LA train station earlier this year,a few lads came in mingling with passengers and started tagging everything from one end of the platform to the other no one bothered them.

Some of the graffers I have met get commissions to do street art on hoardings etc,one even went to the Middle East on a paid paint job.

Mack ,I'm guessing you'll know what I'm on about ,some abandoned town/village in Belgium? Heavily graffed, but not silly tags ,some good art !?
