The long road back!

Recommended Posts

Now lads. Been given the all clear from the bone man to start getting the bitch back to fitness after injury. Still have to pop back every 3-4 weeks to make sure things are still good but its a start! Poor thing hasnt been off lead for coming up 4weeks. Slowly start getting the miles back in and hopefully catch the end of the season if all goes well! Keep ya fingers crossed for me boys! Haha.

Are u free running her now ? I’ll be so pissed off it this dog goes lame again but want to give him couple of slips in a month or so, if he does go lame again I’ll have the toe taken off an he can recover over summer

Yes mate free running her now but steady away. Be mostly jogging her out behind the bike for now. When did he get pins taken out?

If I was you I wouldn’t run him until next season, if you have to get a front toe off it could be all downhill from there. Best way to look at it is your seasons been ruined anyway so just write it off and give him more or less a full year to recover, a bit of patience could save that toe & the rest of his career

Yer I know what u mean but the other way I am looking at it is if I wait until next season to run him he could go lame again first run then that season will be knackered aswell, where if I give him a run this season then I can have his toe off and he can recover over the summer and be right for next season, I don’t know what to do for the best

But the chances of him injuring himself again is much more, if you run him in the next couple of months, than if you give him the rest of the season off, then come back even stronger next season.

I know what I'd do.
