scotty 0
A couple of things annoy me with most of the spades you buy new now is that either the head is to big, or the angle that the head isnt steep enough making it awkward when trenching back the hole. I used a spade of a friend of mine made by bulldog on the weekend he said he bought as it was, the head was perfec size and it had a flat bottom to it which nade it ideal for drawing foxs if you broke in on the brush, he said they were advertised to terrier and ferret men but dont know if they still make them or no. Guest tawny
these are good ones, light ,strong and a perfect size.i cant break one for the boys who asked, they from parker trading, port talbot, south wales do a search and you'll find them. £19 each but you buy say three and they'l let them go for about £16, and one hell of a good spade, with a bit of give in the shank, and like i said you'll not break one pm me if you cant find one Quote Link to post

Guest pip
I have a decent shaped bulldog shovel buts its 2 heavy,if it was the same shape and half as light Bulldog , heavy ? . Someone need's to get to the gym . As much as i do need to get to the gym,we use a similar one same size and shape and its half as heavy, its not the weight of the shovel its when you add the soil, makes a difference on the deep digs ,i thought it was common sense. Wimp! Right right enoughs enough your effecting my self esteem now Quote Link to post
