Perhaps I should have said “ the money is going to enhance the advancement of China rather than boost the UK’s tax revenues” ? Cheers.

We were greeted by a waitress with the words “cash only, cash only” ! When she showed us to our table, I thanked her in Mandarin,(only one word, no big deal), as she walked away I’m sure she cursed me in Han Chinese ! LOL ! The food was excellent and very cheap, the place was Spartan, full of older Chinese people and the hygiene rating was “needs improvement “. Still, we enjoyed our meals, but I’m guessing that the vast majority of the money is sent back to China and very little of it will find its way into His Majesty’s Treasury in the way of taxes ! Cheers. The opium wars all over again!
Borr 5,788
The Bidens and Obama's seemed ready to hand over the keys , I think the west needs to rethink the way forward, so immersed in corruption. The realist in me knows there isn't a good end to it all. It's difficult to see the woods for the trees with all the lunacy in our society. We've had relative stability since ww2 but times are a changing , certainly turbulent times ahead. We can but hope, and carry on

As i said the savings to the farmer by using foreign labour is massive, Good for the farmer and the foreign worker, But crap for the average British worker, Definitely good for the foreign economy. Because I'm guessing of they don't earn over 12,000 in tax over here. They'll be able to take the lot back over home. ? So yet again farmers get cheap labour but the money they make from selling most products won't make up for the money lost by paying the foreign labour workers. Then the companies pay the farmers pennies for the produce. And it's not like the farmers can say. Well we've had to spend out of pocket on labour so we want a price rise on the produce we're growing. It's a catch 22 paulus. Then the goverment put our taxes up due to the loses on taxing the foreigners I'm guessing

That's what I've just commented on mate. Then you have some farmers moaning. Lol. It's the agricultural farmers I feel for live stock farmers dairy farmers. One of the big milking companies has just sold its company to a billionaire in France sure it said France. So that's another British owned company gone.
