That’s my other drug free remedy, bag of frozen peas for as long as possible followed by a hot water bottle and repeat

I’ve ice packs always at the ready in the freezer.

Being in Spain, it’s not very normal to have a bath in ya house. I’ve one of them 1950’s half cnuts lol I’ll go between a bath that melts my balls, to ice packs. Helps for a while but I’m probably sterile now

Mother in law died of it Saturday morning mate, she had a colourful life and died in her own home with people that loved and cared for her at a good age, not in a home festering away being looked after by people that rarely care, living forever ain’t the be all and end all, you got to enjoy the journey

Tell that to my 87 year old grandma who couldn’t breathe a proper breath if she tried… She’s still cracking on, no gas tank and walks the dogs 3 times a day.

No one is saying smoking doesn’t cause lung cancer mate. Just f**k it! It’s luck of the draw in life, my auntie went in her 40’s with it ;)

And then a cold water bottle lol

Apparently, but the hot and cold only worked for me when I had some sort of muscle tissue damage.

But, like you've said, and a few others on here, I've had every treatment you could think of.  And chiropractic treatment, and 'religiously' following the stretches and exercise programs I had written out for me, in order, was what worked.

Only get a few niggles now and again if I lapse into a slack posture when I'm sitting in the same position for a while.

Just to clarify, all the treatment I've had wasn't specifically down to just sciatica.  The sciatica was an offshoot of other problems, caused by a devastating accident and resultant injury/injuries 24 years ago.

Quite shocking how many people are willing to pop all this shit in there systems, especially those that won’t smoke weed, every pill you pop has a detrimental effect on your body in one way or another, as well as my two prolapsed discs I have all the normal shite that comes with being a bloke, arthritis in my spine crunchy hips and shoulders etc, I take honey and turmeric every day, cider apple vinegar once a week and rub cream I make from dandelions on my joints, plus a joint or five in the evening we can live with pain but not without our livers and kidneys, I,m not claiming to never take any meds but I have to be on my hands and knees before I reach for them and never take the 4 a day the doctor says just one before bed to get a nights sleep

I'm the same mate, hardly ever take a tablet, don't smoke weed either... chocolate will be my downfall.... lol

thats bang on that, as few know on here ive had bad lower back for years. what ive found is you got to keep moving dont get me wrong, while your at the very real stage of pain, just move about slowly, but once you can get past that stage, the lower back exercise's  come next. 1st i do the above flat  on my back, leg up straight, then other, 2nd still on your back, legs together then on your side, go from left ,and to the right couple times , 3rd this called bridge,  legs/ feet on the floor, arch your lower back up, just enough to tense your stomach , this a core exercise it will help your back. the last one is lie on your bed , get a moveable  rolling pin it moves from the middle , you get them prob on eBay in  health/ fitness section .  lie on your front , and run the rolling  ping  on your left side nice and easy, because it be painful  from your sciatic nerve , do say 6 on both  you feel the tenseness in your buttocks through your pants  , what it does is  it will release the muscle slowly  that being held from sciatica nerve . these things deff do help mate , read this and put it with your pms , all this will deff help  , you have to live with a bad back, i have for 45 years ,  read it and do the exercises , if any questions  pm me    Ray

Good advice there mate.. so it's the nerve that's tensing the muscle ? I thought I was pulling my muscles and they were putting pressure on the nerve..weird how easy it can go..wilf just looked over his shoulder and bang his back went..I only coughed and it went..

I've screenshot your post mate..

Like I said, kingy, get it sorted by a 'specialist' if you can.

A GP will just just scribble you a prescription, which WON'T really do FAAACK ALL!!!
