I wear boots for everything but always handy to have some wellies for kennels or the odd dog walk. The decathlon jobys didn’t even stand up to that. Shame because they were comfy. Sorry mate, I meant the trousers

DIDO.1 22,811
These are the decathlon wellies. I've worn em almost every day for 12 months, working on shoot digging and fencing, walking dogs every day, fishing, beating and shooting. -4 on the hills while walking long distances other day. The grip is just starting getting a bit thin....I'm happy with that for the money. 12 months hard wear is all I ask from any boot or Welly. If I'm not in these I'm in my desert boots

Nowadays with no dogs i brought a Verney Carron pro hunter jacket -30, Comes with a fleece liner, far to warm to walk miles in but for what i do now its been great, Had it a couple of seasons, To be honest for £180 or what ever i paid for it, Then its been good value, You not tried the trousers for that jacket? Have 2 pairs,I find them spot on Also got the Seeland Marsh and gamekeeper trousers, still going strong after 8 yrs...my favourite are the old real tree deerhunter Ram trousers with the zip out goretex liners inside ...paid £150 15 yrs or more ago.. keep you warm and dry,not so good if you're doing miles on foot mind, sweat like f**k
Daniel cain 45,355
Anyone tried those Baer skin hoodie fleeces? I bought one, well worth £75 and was thoroughly impressed, never had a fleece so warm, been stood on a beach in galeforce winds and not felt a thing...better than the windstopper gear I've tried from Mammut etc

I use a pair of wellies from decathlon, decent neoprene ones, really good grip soles on em. I stalked all day in snow and ice the other day on massive hills and they are spot on. I prefer em to le chameu any day. Think they only cost 50-70 quid. Photo to show where I wore em all day...grip fine, warm and good to walk in. Will take a photo of em tomorrow. Edited to say they have been in use for a full year as I bought em this time last year for coursing in Ireland. Even worn em on the plane What's wrong with that coat?, looks better than the Harkila, what is it Nomad?
