Maybe by making social care workers on a par with nurses for example.

PSW’s they are called here, public support workers, they can make £40k equivalent here with overtime.

The ones who make the cash are the carehome owners,in the year ending sept 2023 100,000 care worker visas were issued in the UK,those careworkers brought with them 120,000 dependents, the numbers all stack up.

I work in a dementia home and the video at the start is just a normal day and regarding the Nigerian night staff and the Indian ones I would happily line them all up and shoot them, most have no compassion at all they disable the call bells so the residents don’t disturb them while they go to bed in spare rooms or sleep in the lounge, I have been asking for cameras to go in or have offered to do a midnight visit and fire the lazy c**ts straight out the door but everyone is afraid to tread on toes, regarding wages I wouldn’t do it for the wages alone, it’s on my doorstep and I enjoy it the money is appalling

Or just maybe its because the old style wife stays at home and looked after the kids whilst the husband was the breadwinner was smashed by successive governments in pursuit of more tax revenue to service an ever increasing debt due to miss management of public funds.

My wife who works in a residential care home and says day's it's hard to keep a straight face when the residents are kicking off about African and Indian care worker's when they are seeing to their needs she has to try and convince the foreign staff the residents who kick off are not racist but nine times out of ten she has to go and help when they do kick off.

When I was around 18, I worked in one whilst studying… we had this lady, bat shit crazy for sherry but she was South African and yep there was a black lad who worked there called Steve. Our Daphne would scream “Coolie, get my sherry” Fuuck me we would all be in stitches and bless to Steve, he never once took offense. Quite the opposite.

They have smashed all sense of community, Not many even have time for themselves never mind others, everybody is just trying to keep there heads above water. This model the treasury keeps perusing of mass immigration is just not sustainable and is having the biggest effect on the poorest in this country, House prices sky high. rent is just ridiculous , Mortgage rates higher than they have been for decades, the tax burden at a rate its not been at for seventy odd years, Eventually it will all come crashing down like a house of cards, and then what?.

This Honduran lass I’m seeing at the moment. She’s a live in carer. She’s working the next 2 weeks. No breaks, always on call if the old dear needs her etc. Funny thing is, this lass has a law degree! An yet she chooses to do this work. You can’t as said, just pull someone off the rock and roll and expect them to have that in them but they should be forced with a choice imo

Back when houses were a couple of grand for a standard 3 bed semi, the mortgage was about 25% of the average blokes weekly wage, Now its more like 70% or even more. Instead of always growing the economy then perhaps they should start by balancing the books first. Thatcher decided we would become the warehouse of Europe and let all our own industry go to the wall. The thing is its not just us, The whole of the Western world is the same.
