Kye 77
The lad i fought last night was a tough guy for sure...he had asked to fight me, because he has said no one would stand with him, he had seen some of my fights, and knows i like to strike, the ISCF MO state championship belt was open at my weight (155lbs) and so the fight was arranged... He trains outta the new 'Xstreme Coutour' Gym in Kansas City MO, and i have recently left American Top Team, and have been lucky enough (VERY lucky) to be taken under the wing of a local guy who brought MMA to this area a fair few years ago now,...a number of years ago, he was Greg Jacksons right hand man, and has helped train a number of top fighters, including Dieago Sanchez, Keith Jardine etc...im now the only fighter this guy trains, and have been with this man for two and a half weeks, and im not going anywhere!...the fact that i get 100% of his attension, im learning things at an incrediable rate, and my mental, as well as phisyical well being feels like it has improved. The week started off a little bad to have a fight this last saturday,...i had been unable to train to my fullest due to a real bad head cold, and chest infection, and i was getting over it, then i trained real hard one day and it knocked the living shit outta me,..one day i couldnt even get outta bed...so i get that outta my system, and i was feeling 85% ok, and some bad weather came in...me being a nice guy, and wanting to give my up coming opponent a good chance of beating me, i decided to spin my Rodeo truck on some ice, and take down a telephone pole, a fence and a hedgerow...me being a lucky guy, i decided to crash the truck into the only part of the fence that they happened to think wooden fence post where not man enough to hold up the rusty wire, so some genius used a 2" thick steel pipe to hold it, which when i took out the pole, came through the window, pinned me to my seat, and missed my heart/lung area buy about 5",...then the electrical wires where going nuts, and there was sparks flying everywhere!!!...the Cops, rescue service, and power company workers, said they had NEVER seen anyone live after a crash like that, let alone walk away from it!...i just told them..."American telephone poles 'aint strong enough for use Brits!"...lmao! Long strory short, i got some whip-lash, a little glass in my left hand, and i couldnt walk to good, due to the truck hitting the pole where my knee was...Jeff (my new trainer) done some miracle treatment, and after about six hours of being worked on, my neck was still a little stiff, and my leg still hurt, but i could walk...looks like im still fighting then! One of the original guys that i have trained with since being in this state, had his Pro-Debut on friday night, my fight being on saturday night...so we travel down to Springfiled, MO, my mate weighs in on thursday, and fights friday night, winning with a RNC in just under four minutes of the first round...it took us ages to get his purse, and we ended up getting about 2hrs of sleep...we was up at about 4am, and drive the three hours home, in a truck with no heating, and f**k me was it cold!..lol. We went straight to the gym, and i cut the 6lbs to make 155lbs...get there weigh in, and i weigh in at 157.8lbs...f**k!...straight down the local sauna, in the same town the fight was at, and get the last few off, which was horrible, but we got it done...then it was off home, shaved my head, legs, and arms (the guy had good BJJ) ate, drank, slept...i weighed in at 155.7lbs, 10 mins before my fight i was 168.8lbs...not bad!.. I have been looking forward to this fight...a proper stand up fight, no rolling around on the floor like we are trying to get each other pregnant!..lol. My guy goes to the cage first, and he looks solid, but a little softer than myself...i make my way to the cage, and coming off a loss, my heart was going mental...i could feel the blood causing through my cauliflowered ears already!..lol. So im in the cage, and i look at the Ref, and f**k me, its one of my opponents head trainers!...WTF!...im thinking, i have to finish this guy, no judges, no ref, just a real fight! Now this guy has told everyone, he can stand with me and bang...even been talking about it on the internet and all that shit...both my corners, and my coach, said "He will stand with you, until you hit him!"..lol. So i go out, and throw a low kick that catchs him on the left thigh, and buckles him straight off the bat..."Yes, the stand up fight is going my way"...and then, the story of my f*****g life, he shoots for a double!...he gets it, and i end up, in his corner, he is in my guard and he is raining down shots...some are landing, but i can strike very well off my back, but basicly the whole first 4min round he beats me up in his corner..lol..oh well, never mind. The seconds are working on me, and my coach says "Fake the leg kick, and go straight right"...so thats what i do, but he is having none of it, and shoots for another double...he gets me against the cage, but i pummel in, and get double under hooks, and i get a body lock...i stand up off the cage, and drive forward and get a hip toss in, but i f**k it up a little, and he scrambles well, and i end up getting fully monuted, and he is trying to strike, but im moving well under him, and i manage a reversal and sweep him...im now in his guard, on top of him, and i turn us around, and get him in my corner, against the cage...i land some real nice heavy shots to his liver/ribs, and i no its hurting because, im letting the wind outta him, and i can feel my shots caving the ribs...NICE!..lol. He is franticaly spinning for my left leg, as im now in his half guard, and i know he is going for a knee bar, or a heel hook...his leg comes up, and i bait him, and leave him to think he is going to get my leg, and i grab his leg, work on up towards the heel, and sink in a great figure four heel hook, he is going crazy trying to roll outta it, while trying to sink in his own, and i crank hard and feel the heel 'go'...he yelps and then taps!...my second only sub, and i couldnt be happier!...just want to say thanks to F.R for bringing his great family, it was great having the kids there, and say thanks to his good lady for all the times she has put up with me being in her house, sleeping on there sofa between training sessions!... Thanks to F.R's young lad for the great advice he gave me before the fight as well..."Jay, if someone takes your back, remember....CHIN DONW!"...LOL....the boy is only six years old, and he is telling me how to defend a RNC!...Awesome! So, 7-2...maybe squeeze a few more fights in between the World Classic, i will have to see...just keeping you guys updated...thanks for your time. Jay,..
