Guest little_lloyd
Ducky.. OTC. Not all my fenns are full of rust as you can see,, That trap was just days old and it still caught. This a customer to one of my part - time tunnels under a hopper in the ride. Quote Link to post
snareman 3
Well most of my tunnels are pernemently in the same spot,, I was looking for some promising spots to place some new tunnels ready for the spring time vermin. The first picture is one i dug today on a gate way just outside of my wood,, This tunnel is for what ever might be using the hedge leading to the wood,, Odd mustelid looks for a safe spot to dash to on the other side of the gate to the wood. So that tunnel will be (with luck) picking up stoats/weasels ratty and the odd squirrel and rabbit. Second has been in place for a year now,, it is in a gate way on the opposite side of the wood on the ride coimng from the cover,, agian set for anything vemin like that might be traveling the fence along the wood,, alough its only really popular with the squirrels and rats. All of my tunnels remain trapless at the moment but will all be in action very shortly for the springtime egg predators. I look forward to seing how much traffic my new tunnels pickup. Good Trapping - LL little loyd are you setting a bonfire to burn the gate post down , Quote Link to post

There is alot of stick piles in that spot of wood so i bunged the tunnel in that spot and made it look just like the other stick piles to blend in with my wood from perimg eyes. OldTrapCollector 377
LL - Move the second tunnel back from the gate a yard so it is in line with that big tree - that is a natural funnel for any ground vermin using that line. If you are going to cover your traps with sticks etc then use 3 or 4 decent logs lying lengthwise on top of the tunnel - it will look much more inviting to the vermin than the 'bonfire' effect you have now.
