Found a old photo of my maternal great grandfather I thought I’d share , it’s the only one I have of him and I’m going to have it restored and a copy made for the wall .

Noah smith with his horse Donny and I believe his son my great uncle .

love old stuff like this and being from a traveling family we don’t have many photos to look back on unfortunately .

Yeah I think so too , there isn’t a lot from that period that’s survived over time unfortunately

Box Brownie cameras were dirt cheap , they really started the fashion of family photo albums.

I can't remember the title but l read a book many years by a chap who lived with travellers and had a camera . He was often asked to photograph other families

He would send the developed pictures to Post Offices along  traveller routes where they would be held for collection.
