I’ve been to Spain a few times but not for hunting.

One thing that interests me is hunting in the Canaries or Malta with Podenco types,

Ive done “normal” coursing around the world but hunting rabbits with a pack of Podencos would be something different and new .

Cheers.

Hopefully enjoying time with his family, walking his dogs on the beach, and generally having an easy life,he was a decent bloke,a tad left wing, but a good egg nonetheless.

Go for it TOMO👍

Could be Too embarrassed to show his face on here after his COVID stance?,or the jabs he was pushing, finished him off?

I still don't get it, yes they find a winner but as anyone knows a dog doesn't always run to its best ability when doubled up. Do they ever run single handed.

a good dog with any sort a brain running double will sit wait for the turn gear up done

I’ve been to Southern Ireland and had a run or two with the two lurchers I took over.

The lads in Northern Ireland have all sorts of dogs, lurchers, terriers, teckels , hounds and do it all, coursing, lamping , ferreting, shooting.

A few dogs from here have went over to them, a litter brother to my brothers teckel is making a good reputation for itself for tracking wounded deer when stalking, and a few dogs have came over to us. The greyhound bitch my bitch is out of was sent over from Ireland.

Its great to travel and see how others go about the game.

Cheers.

But then it still may lose the match? I think you should throw the dogs in the boot and go down. How long will it take in the motor, 12 hours or so?

What would be the point of running single ?

They are testing dog against dog, not dog against hare, just as we did in the Waterloo Cup before the ban .

Cheers.

Because I don't think that the better dog doubled up will be necessarily the better hare dog. So if it's a case of dog against dog, why not just race them?

A saluki or saluki type should excel over there, they are more suited to that terrain than they are to our land.
