COMPO 54
h&j you need to have an atitude adjustment it is a really rare animal who nos 10 year its could be gone wise words "Black-footed ferrets are one of North America's rarest mammals. In 1985, only 18 of these small mammals remained. For two decades, Zoo scientists have played a key role in boosting the ferret population through innovative artificial insemination techniques and by developing ways to ease reintroductions into the wild. Now, more than 800 ferrets live in the wild, and hundreds more live at breeding facilities, including at the Zoo's Conservation and Research Center. The Zoo exhibits a black-footed ferret at the Small Mammal House." Cut and pasted from the website with the ferret-cam....the population went down to 18! i know some people who keep more than that in one garden (obviously i know they aren't black footed ferrets, just regular domestic ferts but that is a small population and a tiny gene pool to expand from)......I think they actually thought that the Black footed ferret was extinct at one point until a farmers dog killed one and brought it into teh house, they then realised there was the small population left that they have now been trying to breed from and re-introduce back to the wild its currently curled ina ball asleep!
