How will it work?, Not being an elected MP then he will not be able to have a seat in the House, So will be unable to answer any questions from other MP`s  on areas of Foreign policy or any other areas of his appointment.

daft if you ask me. Never mind giving him a peerage just to a;;ow it to happen, Are Peerages not given on merit any more?.

There have been precedents, Lord Carrington was Foreign Secretary during the Falklands War, and Gordon Brown made Lord Mandelson a Minister.

You don’t need to be an MP to be in government, there are plenty in the House of Lords who are Ministers and Shadow Ministers, but it’s very rare for a Lord to become one of the holders of the four great offices of state.

Cameron will not appear in the Commons, no Lord is allowed to, he will answer question in the Lords, but it will be his deputy who will answer questions in the commons, hardly a satisfactory state of affairs !

What worries me is that it is now coming out that Cameron and Osbourne have been advising Sunak all along, sounds like he is just a puppet to the “Establishment “.

Cheers.

What partys know is that the population in times of turmoil will run to what they know….do you think that’s the strategy from the Torys because they know they are in deep shit ?

I think Sunak is out of his depth. He’s a technocrat, not a politician.
It appears no one in the “bubble” is telling him what the feeling on the street is, he’s listening  to spads who have never had a job outside of politics.

He’s neither left or right, he is in the centre and a treasury man, and the Treasury is 100% for massive immigration thinking that it raises GDP, they don’t care about the social upheaval.

All I can hope for is that the Conservatives are so decimated in the GE that a true “Conservative”, right of centre party emerges, (Reform ?), and Labour don’t completely destroy the economy and the country during their one term parliament.

As usual, these are just MY opinions and views, others may disagree, and I respect that.

Cheers.

Big problem for Sunak is  that Johnstone sacked a lot of bona fide statesmen and replaced them with clerks and low grade salesmen/ women.

Cameron's remit is to rearrange  the deck chairs and maybe to  facilitate some slash and burn laws so that their mates get a good financial bonus before they are in the wilderness for a term.

It has been a puppet establishment for years mate. You only have to look at what happened to Liz Truss when she tried to go against what the puppet masters wanted.
