Some asked about air rifle for deer and apparently big bore air rifles arnt much of a thing over there so the UK where loosing it till we explained.....many where still pretty pissed for some reason. Well decided to make a lil post showing yes air rifles can can and have been taking big game right ? I mean that's what there groups are for sharing information and learning . Well apparently guys out yalls way don't like the idea of shooting big game because I've been getting stuff like this , which I have to say I find pretty odd or a country who where kinda the poster child for big game hunting for the last 300years Like some of them are just so ignorant on anything past shooting paper or something can't even relate. One guy said you shouldn't be killing anything before is based a problems and went about how you guys dont believe on predator control , he ended up getting booted after I brought all the guys I know from over there doing contract work during lambing season. Christ some folks man Not in Blighty my tanned brother lol. Spain is a bit different but still… we is white folks

Its something different. For everyday use, I’m sure carrying rounds is better than carrying a compressor so for me, the practicality’s would far outweigh the novelty factor. I mean unless your needing 30 shots for some reason most of these use the same compressors any other PCP uses and you get like 10shots per fill so... Idk man I legit have 5-10 rd mags in almost all of my hunting guns I a rarely use more then 3, I Mena for "normal hunting" Will empty a 30rd mag on a sounded rof hog in no time

paulus 26
There was a company in Leek Staffordshire called stalker rifles that manufactured high velocity air guns back in the early 1980`s the Cheetah was one i remember something like 900ftlbs and in 7.63 calibre, but to be honest there just an oddity, if use use a gun regularly for a reason then you will go for the easiest option, usually rounds, Its a bit like your in a cabin and a bear is trying to get through the door, what would you grab, A high velocity pistol/rifle or a frigging bow and arrow or air rifle. My point is some guns can be a necessity, whist others are a novelty.

Well gotta understand most people in the use don't take air rifles seriously at all. Say your playing more then $100 for a air gun people will laugh you off the range , or try to. To most a air gun is some little rinky dink thing you get from Walmart for you 6yr old to shoot cans with or pop stray dogs in the ass with bbs when they get in your trash. A gamo break barrel is like cutting edge to most people and top of the line. Show alot of guys a modern PCP and it's a mix of confusion wonder and distain depending on the person. Honestly 70% of people over her I've talked to about air rifles will just go " well I can buy a .22lr for lees then that what's the point ?" But when you get them to actually shoot most want one. I remember being at my uncle's shop and getting laughed at when I told them my Benjamin Maximus cost me $500 saying they would never pay that much for damn bb gun. Well they all shut up when I dropped a dove clean off the power line at 60yd stone cold dead. And when I mentioned how I could use it within city limits eveyone wanted one.

Wolfs; I get the impression you still don't get the draconian gun laws and restrictions we have in the UK ! If you were shooting doves off the power lines in the city limits here, you would very quickly find yourself surrounded by a rapid response armed police squad with a helicopter overhead ! And I'm not exaggerating ! Cheers. 1 1

A few years ago my eldest and 3 of his mates had been out shooting on land they had permission on at the edge of the village, By the time they had walked to the bottom of the hill that leads to our house they were stopped by 2 armed response units, a dog van, 3 police cars and 2 PCSP vehicles and overhead was the helicopter. I walked down and said to this sergeant how f***ing much is all this costing?
