scottpenn28 246
Looking to get some opinions from folk who have been around this much longer than me and are far more knowledgeable. Was absolutely gutted that lost my dog this year. And although we were absolutely useless in the field together, she was awesome. Been a few months now and starting to think about another lurcher. I'm in absolutely no rush and want to hear peoples opinion of what cross they think would suit. I've spoken to a few people and respect their opinion massively so what they have suggested has been my focus so far, but since I know very few people in the lurcher world, figured I'd come here to ask some more people. I only keep females so whatever x I get will be a b*tch, she will live in the house with myself, Mrs, child and spaniel, plenty of nights out and time and effort will be put into her but I certainly made plenty of mistakes with my last that I will try rectify this time. With regards to game, she will need to be capable of most things, but more opportunistic than specific for 1 thing. Know everyone has their preferred types and x's so trying to keep an open mind. And maybe even open my eyes to something I'd not looked at. Apologies for long post. And thanks in advance. Quote Link to post
Lewis1 19
Collie bull greyhound out of the right stuff. Collie greyhound back to a quarter bred bull x something like that. Something like that will be able to take anything from a rabbit right up to the big stuff. Good speed decent stamina be able to turn and should have a good brain. That would be my choice mate Quote Link to post

Or something similar, cant imagine that cross going to be easy to find though, everything im seeing lately is heavy bull cross. Your not the first to mention collie x though so starting to look like the way to go. Quote Link to post
