Parliament gave a figure last year of 750,000 but it’s the government and a guesstimate so it’s probably far higher.

Yup,there's a reason they hot bed in Slough sheds and have woodland encampments,lots of undocumented aliens,they don't all hand themselves and live in taxpayer funded hotels,some stay off the radar.

Border "farce" aren't very effective is probably the answer,I don't know their budget but it's very rare to spot a border force vehicle or snatch-squad out and about.

Things will only get worse as millions upon millions of people are displaced in the future. That's why I think it's really ignorant and shortsighted to just say let the 3rd world rot, let the divide get bigger. This global problem will need sorting sooner or later, people think this is bad, just wait.

I have always maintained that,but I am of the opposite view,the west can't fix the third world,we are better off circling our wagons than trying to fix a broken third world countries problems with our cash and our resources.

In the same breath, the world is taking their resources. It’s their mentality and cultures that we can’t and shouldn’t be trying to fix, or allowing these things into our lands. Let them fix their own shit! Pay them a proper price for their minerals, metals etc and let them sort their own internal shit out.

We can't just ignore it though, we will have to keep footing the ever increasing bill. Millions are getting displayed and it's only going to get worse in the future.
