Imagine little Tommy sat in lesson, Tarquin his teacher teaching shoving algebra down his throat when he struggles to read and write and then every year reporting how shit he is and how unless he buckles down hes going to be a failure in life.

They don’t even do that now mate, they just aim them out and cast them adrift….can’t afford to deal with them.

You can take that to the bank.

Or Alternatively........................

Little Tommy not too bright struggles with reading and writing but after assessment clearly loves cars. Bang him in a mechanics class teach him he needs a 13mm spanner to undo 6 nuts but he needs to then replace 3 off them with new ones. Show him the diagram of the workings of the part it came from and where on the map it was produced. Explain to him how much it costs and what materials are used in the making even add in the carbon footprint for exporting and how much could have been offset producing it here. Put it all back together show it working praise him for a great job Tommy goes out the gates happy and with a goal in life. Like I said so easy.

Absolutely !

We live in the age of bullshite.  If you had 3 lads on your yard and the reporter was coming you would give em some suitable clothes. Some muck boots and a gillet with the yard name on it. Instea

Or the other 28 countries that they passed through, they could of claimed asylum... parents should be charged with child neglect, and sent back to their shithole of origin 👍

I have to admit, I f***ing hate those type of people, they are the enemy within and the country is f***ing choc a block with them. See, we gas amongst ourselves on here but it’s an echo chamber i

My time at comprehensive school in the 70s was not much better as those not that bright like me the teachers knew that we would fill the jobs that were needed in the nationalised industries like mining and steelworks. I remember to this day an Art teacher of the old school loosing his rag with us and saying we would become the grafters in life doing the dirty dangerouse jobs that in his words all the thick people did even then i thought what a fukin arsehole it was people like he described that made this country at one time Great not fekin art teachers.

Here's another thing.

Teacher shortage apparently, well f**k Tarquin the left wing algebra teacher off who has nothing in common with Tommy. Get in Mike the 55 year old mechanic who grew up on a estate has a wealth of life skills and knowledge but is struggling to get down on his knees and needs to slow up a bit rather than working another 2 years being completely knackered and having to go on benefits because he cant move.

Like I say so simple.

Teachers get a lot of stick, some of it deserved, but in my experience teachers for the most part are legends (in the UK this is)…..they just want to do their job and teach and create a nice social environment to do it, where kids get a break from any negativity they may experience outside.

I have been privileged to know quiet a few outstanding teachers, even the bloke who was chasing and then expelling me when I was 14……he never held that against my kids, he encouraged them and was part of a great team that helped them blossom and love school.

Teachers want to teach…..but what most people don’t think about is that most of their time is taken up reporting, coming up with plans, graphs, progress charts.

Answering 300 emails a day in some cases (true !) and working until 9 or 10 pm totally unpaid to keep up with it all.

They for the most part are as frustrated at what go’s on as the rest of us.

Increasing the school leaving age, pathetic university courses and then the obligatory "gap year" has meant we have gap in the recruitment market of about 7 years that's starting to bite us on the ass in this country.

Correct,you get it.

And then they have to put up with a load of little C**ts and a lot of the time the spastic parents that have produced the little c**ts.My sister in law is a head mistress and the ammount of shit she gets from parents along the line of.My Chelsea/Brooklyn aint doing a detention,I said she can wear a shirt that barely cover her arse rather than the mandatory knee length and a face full of makeup.Or he can wear a hoodie and trainers instead of a blazer and shoes and its none of your business if they're smoking or vaping if they're outside the school gates. My missus had a phone call the other week from one of her boys teachers saying he had been a bit gobby and she was ringing because it was out of character for him so my missus said hed be dealt with as soon as he got home and in future call her the second he even thinks about playing up.She said she couldnt believe that the teacher spent most of the phone call constantly thanking her for being so understanding as thats wasnt the type of response that she normally got when contracting parents about their kids behavior.
